Selfish vs. Self Care

This Monday I am all about business, there are two days left in the month of July, we are in our last leg of summer, then its the holidays, then its the New Year - the cycles keep coming around.  Are you where you want to be?  Are you in the same place you were last year, the last five years?

This is my story of how I found Herbalife and how it has changed my life, it may do the same for you.  Luckily I come from a good genes, free spirited family who let me pave my own path in life.  We are Russian immigrants, so I have been working since I was 12, loved having my own money and being independent.  Once I moved to LA, I had to let go of my pride and accept my parents help while I was building my future.  Then getting married and having children completely threw me in a beautiful yet challenging direction, it was not just about me anymore on any level.

My father came to the USA with no language, and although he had a masters degree in engineering, he had to start from scratch washing toilets.  His motivation was his family, and his philosophy was "work hard now enjoy it later," but unfortunately later was just a word, he had a mild heart attack at age 60, and now Thank God, is the healthiest man I know.  Hence the title of Selfish vs. Self- care, its ok to take care of yourself, to take time off, to enjoy life's moments, otherwise you will burn out either physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.  There must be balance, and that is what I found when I met my Health Coach at our Active Nutrition Center.  Before I met her, I was 8 months pregnant with my second child, frustrated over how I was going to find time to exercise with to little babies.  Never really had a plan for eating, just ate whatever was around, and it worked before I had babies, everything just stopped flowing like it used to before.  I was excited that the Healthy Meal Shake filled me up during my ravenous third trimester, and I was even more grateful that after I had babies I had a plan to take care of myself, and get to even better than before baby shape.

I am on my journey now, it is definitely a commitment, it is not easy to always remember, but it does take 21 days to form a habit, and I am really focused on reaching my goals for my business, my family, but most importantly myself.  I have always been someone that like to be genuine, talking from a point of truth and personal experience.  I am so excited to turn 40, and be the example of health, happiness, and now I am really ready for wealth - are you?

People that I work with in Herbalife have gone to a six figure income in 1 1/2 years, sure they don't have kids, they jump into a full time schedule, even working Saturdays, which I do not do because it is my day of rest.  But I am committed to building it around my life and my kids, and teaching others to do the same.  After all isn't that what we all really want, a happy independent lifestyle, which gives us money to provide for our kids, but also to enjoy time with our family, vacations, staycations, and I have always seen a private jet in my future.  I am ready to focus, and here are the numbers, Herbalife in 30 years has made 5 billion, and the way the wellness industry is going now, they are looking to make another 5 billion in the next five years, I am jumping on that bandwagon.  The economy is horrible, and people are looking for alternatives to corporate, 9-5, minimum wage, and even masters and Phd degrees do not guarantee anything nowadays.

Who do you know that might want to hear more and join me at Extravaganza in October, it changed my life, it might change the life of someone you love, in their health or their wealth :)
