I have never liked cardio, ever, I never understood why people want to be on the machines in the gym, the only one that I ever tolerated was the elliptical - it was like a standing bicycle like movement, and I liked how it just flowed, seemed balanced, coordinated, and easy on the knees.
The only way I liked to get my heartbeat up was with sports or dance classes, I never understood marathons, I guess for some people it really gets them in their zone, like Yoga does for me.
So last week in my commitment to workout out Monday through Friday, one day the only option I had was to get on the cardio machines, and I chose the elliptical, and I absolutely loved it, I honestly could have stayed on it for a very long time. I had my baby in the gym's kids club and he was awake and needed to nurse, so luckily I got 15 minutes in and felt AMAZING. Yesterday I got my husband to go to the gym with me, we left the baby with my mother in law, and took Eli Tzvi and Ziona Sofia to the kids club, unfortunately the instructor that I wanted my husband to take was not there, so instead we did cardio machines together. Once again, I absolutely loved it, it just felt so good, I had to teach a class, so I stayed on for 20 minutes, but full on. There was a time when I was doing cardio on the machine 3 times a week for 20 minutes hard core, and I did see some great results, this was a long time ago when I just wanted to lean out, but totally hated it, that 20 minutes was torture.
Now I know it takes a lot more than cardio, although its very important not only for burning calories, but for circulation, metabolism, endorphins, and great for the skin, there has to be some resistance training, stretching, and always great to have anything core related. Then all of it goes out the window, unless you plug into the 80% Nutrition, its like all the working out is a waste of time if you do not put the right fuel in your engine.
I feel so lucky that I have my nutrition program, maybe that is why I have energy for cardio, and it feels so good. I honestly just love it, its crazy, maybe it also feels good to move again, and really have my goals clear now after having my baby.
If anyone needs a boost, to clear up their goals, dreams, why's, please reach out, this is my mission, to help everyone find their own reason to be their best, while I keep getting in touch with mine.
Happy Thursday,
Coach Yulia
