OY VEY my friends, I know in the rest of the country it is extreme temperatures, but here in our Hollywood perfect La La Land, we really do expect it to be sunny and perfect cool breeze all the time.
Today we walked probably over a mile in the heat with our kids to join our friends for the celebration of their new baby girl. We do not drive on the Day of Rest, and usually it is so refreshing and nice to be out and about. Today it was just super strong hot and sunny, luckily a few spots of shade on the way brought a little bit of cool. When we were coming back from our RV adventure, we felt so lucky to be living in LA where the night was so cool and welcoming. Everywhere else the humidity just hugs you all over, and so do the bugs, my kids had bug bites on every inch of their little bodies when we left Atlanta.
I am really itching to go shopping, but I really don't want to buy any clothes until I have reached my goal. I have tried stuff on, and I like it, but I really do not love it, things just don't sit exactly as I would want it to. It is so interesting how everyone loses weight differently, some drop the pounds while others drop the inches. I am excited for my inches to be dropping, and I am visibly noticing certain areas shrinking down. There is an area right below the bra that when I was pregnant with my first got stretched out, its like I didn't have enough skin to cover him in my final month. So it has been a funny fold of skin up high before my belly, now its GONE :) and I love how that works, things bother you, and then when they are not there you feel good, and it takes you a while to notice, OMG its GONE!
I have been working out doing something Monday through Friday, and feeling great, I am excited to remeasure at the end of the month and see exactly what is going on. It is really important to know where you are starting and to track if what you are doing is working. Whether its for weight loss, weight gain, or for athletic performance.
For some reason the heat gave me a headache today, I never get headaches, and I am nursing, and I prefer not to take medications, so hopefully a good nights sleep will do the trick.
Have a great night,
Coach Yulia
