I have had the worst sinus infection for the past week, even this morning so much uncomfortable pressure in my head when I bent down to pick something up. I have been getting so much advice, and trying everything. I think everything just helps the symptoms, and it all just gets worse then gets better, luckily just now it feels much better, I might get my first good night sleep in a week, YIPPEE!
I thought this was really helpful:
What does your sinus congestion look like? What is it doing? Let's look at the different types of sinus congestion.
Do you have a runny nose?
Is your head stuffed up, making it difficult to breathe through your nose?
If you have drainage, what color is it?
Do you have pressure in your face and eyes?
Feeling off, really makes me appreciate my health on a regular basis, luckily I have good genes and take care of myself. I cannot imagine chronic pain and illness, being in discomfort this whole week gave me a glimpse, and I want none of it. Yes I wipe my kids noses, they go to school, things spread, its inevitable. However on a regular basis I choose to have my body working right, so then I go on with my life, only in "DIS-EASE" are we consumed with how horrible we feel and all the ways we can help, mend, ease, or cure the ailment.
Natural remedies or medication? It really depends, I think there is a place for both.
Wishing everyone a HEALTHY New Year,
Happy Weekend,
Shabbat Shalom

- Green or yellow: This color indicates an infection. See your doctor but may not necessarily need antibiotics. It could be sinusitis.
- Clear and thin: It is probably a cold, the flu or allergies.
- Thick and white or cloudy: It is most likely a viral infection, such as a cold or the flu.
- Blood-streaked: It is usually caused by ruptured blood vessels in the nose. It can occur as a result of dry nasal membranes or from blowing your nose too aggressively. Look at other symptoms to determine whether or not you should see a doctor.
