The Heat is On

First I am referring to literal heat, supposedly it is supposed to get in the 100's next week, and during this portion of our holiday marathon, we sit outside in little huts called a Sukkah, and eat all of our meals there for 8 days.  There is a wonderful tradition and law to invite guests, especially ones that are not able to make their own Sukkah in their home.

I had a fabulous day, my kids had fun seeing old friends - LOL - they are 4 and 2 1/2 and they really made some special friendships in their previous school, and they talk about their friends and miss their friends, so today they had a chance to play and have fun.  I love our Los Angeles Jewish community, it is so diverse, and all these different pockets all around town.  Thanks to my Yoga and Prenatal Yoga, I have been able to connect with so many amazing families.

My brother in law took Eli Tzvi in the afternoon, so I had a chance to get some rest with Ziona Sofia and Matisyahu.  I feel good, but it is amazing how as soon as my Day of Rest ends, my brain is back on the one million things do to wagon.  I am excited about all of the tools I am learning in my business seminar, to get it out of my head and organize it, prioritize it, and get it DONE!

It is Day 3 of my 21 Day Cleanse, amazing how this time it is really a cleanse, if you know what I mean.  My body needs to "go" quite a few times a day, but it is not an uncomfortable feeling, just getting rid of 3 babies worth of stuff.  It is so cool, some of the herbs directly cleanse the liver.  All of the Herbalife products I use are Kosher, and most of them Parve.  I am excited to see the results at the end of my cleanse.

The kids do not go back to school until October 10!  This is a long holiday, with breaks in between, where we will take them to some fun stuff.  So far so good, I think I will definitely take my kids friends up for their play date requests.

We are still figuring out some of our meals for Sukkot, we are unable to put up a Sukkah in our place, and we always went to my sister in law, she recently moved, and my mother in law is out of town, so we are not going to her friends.  As usual, my mentality, it will all work out as it should :) Thank God B'H for this ingrained way of thinking.  I feel so blessed! I just connected with a Yoga student of mine that is also is juts "naturally high," positive, happy, just sees all the good things in life.  I am happy to have met her, and we are both on a mission to make our dreams come true.

Happy Weekend,

It's All Good

My husband is in a seminar all day, and I have successfully run errands with the kids, and got in a Yoga class, put all of them in Kids Club at 24 Hour Fitness, then took my older son to a Dr. checkup, but was there with all three.  Met my brother in law for pizza, and ran a few more kid friendly errands, overall not bad.

It is very challenging for me to do any work when I have my kids with me.  A few days ago I was at the park just with the older two, and met a few amazing dads who I talked about what I do and for them to check it out.  I love connecting with people, and I love to just talk about life, it is very easy for me.  Now since I am on my own mission of health and fitness after 3 kids in 4 1/2 years, it just pops into my conversation.

Today is the second day of my 21 day cleanse and I am totally feeling the effects of my metabolism burning through food, and my digestion getting an overhaul.  Honestly it is nothing extreme, I am still going through my day, and handling all three kids, really grateful to my brother in law for hanging with us and treating us.

So now I am home it is 4pm, and there is tons to do before Shabbat, my husband is usually handling the home front, so today is my day to support him in his business and be a good wife.  He did get the  roast ready and its been in the oven all day - YUM!

I had a very powerful chat with my accountability partner of the business seminar I am in.  A light bulb went off in my head.  One of the most important things to me, is to be genuine, and to be perceived as genuine.  In a way I don't care what people think, but on the other hand, I really want to connect.  We all have stuff, and for me my family and kids are an easy excuse for not getting things done, one that I will powerfully overcome, God Willing, after the holidays, ready to get on track.

I hear our heat is coming back for our Sukkot holiday where we eat in little huts outside of our homes, the nights will be nice, but the days may be intense.  Usually my kids are in school today, but because of the upcoming holiday they don't go back to school until October 10, and the next day is my birthday, and now I am thinking Zip Lining, never done it, there is a place not too far, and its quite reasonable.

I really love a thrill :)
Happy Day of Rest,]
Have a Fabulous Weekend,
Chag Sameach,
Shabbat Shalom
Lately my friends that have listened to this amazing scientific explanation of the law of attraction are spreading the word, if you want to check it out let me know, I will let you borrow it, very interesting, and very powerful.

21 Day Cleanse

Angling my web cam to get a body shot and a baby shot, not bad :)  So today is the first day of my 21 day cleanse.  I am so excited because it is not an extreme cleanse, yes you should eat healthy, but the goal is to eat, which is one of my favorite things to do!  That's what really rocks about Herbalife, it is healthy habits for life.  People plan to drink coffee for the rest of their life, and I plan to have my breakfast shake and post workout shake for the rest of my life.  I want a healthy "rest of my life."

So this is my plan, I am fully committing to my program, I took all my vitamins in the morning including two tablets of the AM Cleanse, and tonight will take the PM Cleanse, I just stopped nursing, it is not recommended to do pregnant or nursing.  I had my amazing Allergen Free shake in the morning, it is Soy/Dairy and Gluten FREE, and it is amazing with a banana and peanut butter, I love to mix it all in Almond Milk.  I have so many recipes, if you need ideas just let me know.

I just finished an amazing Bodypump workout, it is a low weight, high repetition workout, focusing on lean and fit, and it utilizes the core since we use a bar and free weights for every muscle group.  Just had my Rebuild Strength from our Herbalife 24 Athlete Line, if it is good enough for Olympians and David Beckham it is definitely going to work for me!

Getting hungry, that is what I remember the cleanse doing before, it really made my metabolism move, so I am planning on having a tuna or chicken salad, haven't decided yet, I have spinach and tomatoes, Persian cucumbers.  My husband is the best Mediterranean cook, and my favorite dressings are a simple lemon juice, salt, and olive oil, or Tahina, if you need his recipe let me know.  I will have my second set of vitamins with this meal.

I will have a snack later on, and with dinner do my third set of vitamins and 2 tablets of the PM cleanse, its all about getting in the habit, and when you are seeing results and you feel amazing, #WHY NOT?

So in the picture above, I am just letting it all hang out, that belly of mine has been holding on, I have lost inches in my legs, hips, and waist, as well as really defined my upper body.  So belly here we go, I am strong on the inside due to my Yoga and Pilates, but now focusing on really getting my nutrition spot on, and the cleanse will help it all #BURN.  I think my body while nursing held on to produce, now I will see this month what a difference it makes for me.  For some people nursing keeps them lean, I know it got everything on the inside to where it should be :)  Gonna focus on a balanced workout of cardio, weights, Yoga, and Pilates - variety, fun.  Sunday I am bringing all my kids to my beach workout, over 300 people getting healthy and having a blast.  That sand really gives your body extra resistance, the workouts are doable, and the sand makes you work a little harder.

Check out the details of my cleanse below, GET ON BOARD, would love for you to join me, get that body working right, especially digestion.

Happy Body,
Happy Mind,
Happy Life,
Have a Happy :)

I LOVE FOOD

I am wearing all white, which is a tradition on this Yom Kippur, day of atonement, where we fat for 24 hours.  I did it! and I feel amazing, Thank God all of our prayers were answered when the weather turned cooler for a couple of days, I hear the heat is coming back tomorrow.

It is really amazing when we make a decision in our head, and we are paying attention, conscious, focused, we will reach our goal, it is inevitable, guaranteed.  Today I proved it to myself, I haven't fasted in 5years, and was wondering how I would feel.  I was keeping busy, I was asked to help with the kids program, and although it wasn't relaxing, the time did fly by.  I had a few times where my stomach was talking to me, but it easily passed.  Our synagogue was packed, many people wearing white, and at the very end this evening you really felt a beautiful energy for the New Year.

I really love food, all kinds of food, I think its one of life's pleasures, and it is so nice to taste it, enjoy it.  I broke my Fast with Watermelon - YUM.  Excess once in a while is moderation, but real, unprocessed food, from all natural sources - that is the deal - I LOVE MY SHAKES :)

I am pumped to get back to work, I have met so many amazing people recently, just being open and sharing my goals and getting to know theirs.  Have you asked yourself, what are your goals?  What is that one thing you really wanted in your life?  A New Career, Better Health and Body, a New Relationship?

You can really have it all, its all about being open.  If we fill up our time and space and energy, there is no room for anything else.

Feeling Blessed and Excited for October,
My Birthday Month,
The Biggest Event of my Business, Extravaganza in Long Beach,
So good to keep looking forward, growing, enjoying every ounce,

Flustered

flus·ter (flstr)
tr. & intr.v. flus·tered, flus·ter·ing, flus·ters
To make or become nervous or upset.

n.
A state of agitation, confusion, or excitement.

I guess this described my state of mind, I would have to look up agitation for the exact meaning.  I suppose this is how people feel before a big holiday like Christmas, when they are running around doing what needs to be done before they completely turn off from the world.  Also when people are buying last minute gifts or doing last minute things before a date or an event, I supposed that is the state I am in.

My brain is so ready to get focused and organized, then life happens, and it is no excuse, but my life is different than the lives of other coaches that I work with, but then there are other people like me with families, and also observant Jews that I saw at our big event last October that were reaching high positions in the business.  So the bottom line is everyone has stuff, and today the kids are home, there is no school, our holiday starts tonight, so we have the day to get things done, and now the baby is crying and my kids are bickering, and I am trying to squeeze this in because there is no "later."

I have a weekly to do, but holidays are like a "day off" in the business world, and a "non stop" in the mommy and community world.  I am also going to help with the kids program so parents can pray in peace.  I figure it will be a good way to keep me busy, I have to be with my baby anyway, and keep my mind of eating, our 24 hour fast starts tonight.

I am posting some pictures of my kids looking angelic and accomplished, they are at a friends birthday party and having a blast, and they are also sooooo good when they sleep :)

Have a meaningful fast,
Gmar Chatima Tova,
Will check tomorrow night after the fast give y'all an update,
Have a wonderful Tuesday and Wednesday,
Yulia

Communication

How did we survive before all of our modern technology?  I guess in one way it makes life easier, but on the other hand - how do we keep it all organized, and follow up in a timely manner.  I remember when email first came out on a grand scale, I just started working on cruise ships, calling was not as easy back then, especially long distance or international, so email was a great way to keep my family posted and keep in touch.

Now with my "smart" phone I get my emails right away, but sometimes I am on the road or with a client, so I put them off until later.  Email is not as urgent as it used to be, it is a nice back up, to everything else nowadays.  Voicemail, wow, forget about it, I used to have a beeper, so when voicemail came out and everyone getting their own numbers no matter what age, it was huge to just be on the phone and talk.

Then text comes along and changes everything, it is really the most urgent, I gotta get back instantly, method out there today.  That is why everybody is walking around with their noses in their phones, sometimes I look up from mine and think about how we are missing the world around us, missing opportunities to connect, or even relax from it all.

This week is all chopped up, kids only in school Today and Thursday, we have one of the biggest holy days of the year Tuesday night and all of Wednesday.  For some reason the kids are off Friday, and it totally throws off my day, my husband will be at a seminar, and I have to reschedule all of my clients.

We all have our stuff,
Enjoy your stuff,
Learn from your stuff,
Without stuff we would be bored,

Fasting and Cleansing

In a few days Jewish people all over the world will be fasting for 24 hours, this is a spiritual fast, focusing on prayer, reflection, and new declarations for the year to come.  I have not fasted since I have been married due to pregnancy and nursing.  I am actually looking forward to it this year, to start the year fresh in every way, physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

In other cultures fasts are for much longer periods of time for spiritual reasons, and also many people fast to cleanse their system.  In some things I am one extreme, for instance, Thank God in childbirth I decided to be drug free, and everything was flowing in the right direction, and I have a high pain tolerance, and I was able to do it with all three kids.  For some reason to choose to stop eating makes no sense to me unless it is for a spiritual reason.

I have attached an article that makes some interesting points about cleanses and nutrition.  As everything I feel it is an individual journey.  Personally I am focusing on forming healthy habits, so the body is cleansing naturally.  Then again, some people to various cleanses, to stop cravings, start anew with a new nutrition plan, to each their own.  After Yom Kippur, the spiritual fast day, I am going to do the Herbalife 21 day cleanse, which is something that you just add to what you are eating.  Of course it is best to be eating correctly, I am still going to do my shakes, eat my protein, vegetables, and fruit.  I am going to write more about it when I begin.  What I like about it, is that it is easy to incorporate it into a busy life.

On today's schedule, a private Yoga class that I am restarting to teach with some good friends, excited to share energy.  Then a children's birthday party for my kids, also going to hang out with some good friends, excited for them to play and me to socialize.

After the kids go to sleep the focus is on getting ready for the last week of the month, making sure all my clients are supported, and anyone that is interested in getting healthy, looking good for Halloween :) or just feeling their best, I am ready when you are.  Have a fabulous Sunday.
