OK, lets get real - before I got pregnant, I got dunked in a water tank to test my body fat, I was 28%. A woman should be 25% or less, I decided to get on my program to get leaner, and gained 3 pounds of lean muscle, which was amazing, because muscle is the look of lean, firm, and toned and burns 14 calories, where body fat only burns 2 calories.
Then I got pregnant and decided to focus on healthy eating for me and baby. After baby now at 3 weeks, I am 165 pounds and 33% Body fat - My goal is to lose 30 pounds. At my leanest, which is over 10 years ago, I was 23% Body fat and looked amazing, but always had a little belly. I now know it is because I was always into fitness, but did not realize 80% was nutrition, and I was not fueling my body right. When you do fuel your body right the fat goes away from the areas we want, abs, thighs, arms, etc. Many people focus just on exercise, lose pounds, but have a high body fat and are flabby which can lead to diabetes and cholesterol - have you heard of skinny fat?

It is amazing that 30 pounds to the outside eye does not look "fat" usually when a person looks fat, they are clinically obese, and already probably having some health problems. Sometimes people look at us and say, you look fine, you don't need to do anything. I always say we all know where we look and feel our best - trust your gut - listen to advice - but always make your own decision.
Tip of the day: Not making a decision, is making a decision :)
Just finished our taxes, kids coming home in an hour, baby just nursed and is sleeping - time for me to take a little rest :)
Wishing everyone a warm, sunshiny, and enjoyable day,
Coach Yulia
I love your tip of the day...
